  • Authenticating copy or transcript

    The municipality may issue certified copies of certain documents. For example, of your passport or driver's license.

  • Certificate of good conduct (VOG)

    A Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) is proof of good behavior. Employers or organizations may request a VOG.

  • Statement under oath or promise

    You can take a Declaration on Oath or Promise if you are demonstrably unable to produce official foreign deeds.

  • Deleting privacy-sensitive personal data

    You can only have information about your adoption, your child you gave up for adoption or your gender reassignment removed from the BRP .

  • Requesting personal data

    The municipality keeps personal data on all residents in the Basic Registration of PersonsBRP).

  • Name change surname

    Changing a last name can only be done under strict Requirements. You can find these Requirements on the websitenl

  • Name change first name

    You can ask the court to change your first name. You will need a lawyer to file this application.

  • Legalize signature

    If you need to prove that your signature on a document is really yours, you can have your signature legalized at the municipality.

  • Confidentiality of personal data

    If you do not want certain organizations to receive your personal information, you can ask the municipality for confidentiality.
