Nuisance trees
The municipality is working daily to maintain the trees in Voorne aan Zee. All trees are surveyed and are checked once every three years on average, and pruned if necessary. Trees at risk are checked annually.
Nuisance trees
The municipality occasionally receives requests for tree pruning because residents experience nuisance from such things as leaf fall, blossoms, pollen, lint, seeds, falling fruit and shade caused by municipal trees. The principle is that no environmental permit for felling or drastic pruning is issued for these reasons. Some degree of nuisance is expected to be tolerated, as municipal greenery serves the public interest. However, this can be deviated from by a well-reasoned balancing of interests.
Solar Panels
Solar panels to be installed or already in place are not a reason to prune or cut trees. For this reason, a logging permit may be denied.
