Who deserves "the Bronze Shell"?
Every year the Municipality of Voorne aan Zee proudly presents the Bronze Shell a special award that shows appreciation and gratitude for long-term and exceptional services within our municipality.
This prestigious award honors residents, groups or organizations that have put their heart and soul into various fields such as sports, science, culture or history for at least a decade.
Do you know someone whose efforts have enriched our society and contributed to the promotion of Voorne aan Zee? Then bring this special person or organization to our attention! With your nomination we will ensure that their valuable efforts are recognized.

The Bronze Shell is awarded annually during our festive New Year's reception. Earlier this year, the Historic Motor Race Rockanje Foundation was honored to receive this honorable award, and 2024 rewarded the special efforts of Eric Meerman. The Bronze Shell itself was designed by visual artist Else Mulder-van Gemeren and is a unique work of art: a bronze stand with the contours of Voorne aan Zee, incorporating a shell fittingly symbolic of our beautiful coastal municipality.
