Brielle
Maintenance Chicken Bridge
When
- Thursday, Nov. 20 through March 2026.
Where
- The Chicken Bridge in Brielle.
- Maintenance work is underway on both the bridge and the quay walls.
- To carry out the work, the bridge will be temporarily removed.
Detour
- Those wishing to cross the waterway (North Spui) can use the Juliana Bridge or Lange Street.

Hellevoetsluis
Renovation of the Marinebuurt neighborhood
When
- Work will commence on Monday, November 24, 2025, and continue until Friday, November 13, 2026.
Where
- Throughout the Marinebuurt neighborhood in various phases. Residents have been informed of this via a letter to residents.

Repaving of terrace on Oostzanddijk
When
- Monday, January 19 through Friday, February 27.
Where
- The terrace on Oostzanddijk, opposite the town hall and the Waag.
- The street on the terrace is being pushed up by tree roots, making it unsafe and unpleasant. Previously, the trees were fed deeper into the ground, causing the roots to now grow deeper down.
- Starting Monday, January 19, we will be repaving the terrace.

Improvements to the roundabout at Evertsenplein
When
- From Monday, February 2, through Friday, April 3.
Where
- The roundabout at Amnesty Internationallaan/Rijksstraatweg, near Evertsenplein.
- We are making the roundabout safer by moving the crossings further back.
- In April 2024, the bicycle crossing on the north side will be constructed further away from the roundabout. We are now doing the same with the other three crossings.
Detour
- The work will be carried out in phases.
- During phase 1 (February 2 through February 20) and phase 2 (February 23 through March 13), cars, trucks, and motorcycles will be able to pass through as usual. Pedestrians and cyclists will be diverted. The diversion will be indicated by signs.
- During phase 3 (March 16 through April 3), the roundabout will be closed on weeknights. Traffic will be diverted.

Repairing section of sidewalk and bike path on Rijksstraatweg
Where
- Rijksstraatweg between house numbers 43 and 51.
When
- Work will start on Wednesday, October 4, and will take no longer than a week.
- Local residents have received a letter from contractor Lindeloof.
- We are going to renovate part of the bike path and footpath. To do this, we will remove the current paving, fill in the potholes with sand, and then reinstall the paving.
Detour
- At the garage, the garage company's cars will be temporarily moved to make room for pedestrians.
- Cyclists must dismount and walk along the sidewalk past the construction site.
- The Rijksstraatweg will remain open to cars, trucks, and motorcycles.

Rockanje
Heveringsweg/ Boomweg
Water Board Hollandse Delta is going to tackle the stretch that runs from Oostvoorne to Rockanje. This concerns the Heveringseweg, Verlengde Lodderlandsedijk, Boomweg and Vleerdamsedijk. The route will be designed in a Sustainable Safety manner and major maintenance will be carried out on some sections. This work may cause temporary inconvenience to road users and local residents. Road diversions may also be put in place in connection with the work.

The roads in the municipality of Voorne aan Zee are managed by different government organizations. The Department of Public Works manages the N57 and the A15. The province of Zuid-Holland manages the N218, N494, N496 and the N497. All other (polder) roads are managed by the Hollandse Delta water board. The municipality manages the roads within the built-up area. You can look up who the road administrator is via the Rijkswaterstaat website if you are in doubt.
