• Work will commence on Monday, November 24, 2025, and continue until Friday, November 13, 2026. 

Where

• Throughout the Marinebuurt neighborhood in various phases. Residents have been informed of this via a letter to residents.

When

• The traffic lights will be replaced from Wednesday, June 17, through Friday, June 19. 

Where

• The intersection of De Sprong and Amnesty Internationallaan and the intersection of Nieuweweg and Nijverheidsweg in Hellevoetsluis. 
• Contractor Van Gelder is replacing the traffic lights, control boxes, and push buttons at both intersections. 
• There will be a road narrowing at both intersections during the construction work. 
• Both intersections are expected to be fully open again starting Friday afternoon, June 19. 

Detour

• A detour route is marked with signs. 
• Traffic controllers direct traffic. 
• The intersections are not completely closed. There is a road narrowing.
• Please allow for extra travel time.

When

• The work will take place on Monday, June 29, and Tuesday, June 30, between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. Nelson Mandelalaan will be closed during the work.

Where

• The crosswalks at the intersections of Nelson Mandela Avenue with Bonseweg and Dorpsweg.
• The crosswalks will be painted yellow to make them more visible. 

Detour

• During the construction work, Nelson Mandelalaan will be closed to traffic between the Dag Hammarskjöldlaan roundabout and the Moeder Teresalaan roundabout.
• Through traffic will be rerouted via Kanaalweg Westzijde. The Berkman gas station will remain accessible.
• Work will be carried out at each crossing. Cyclists will be rerouted via one of the two crossings.
  • On Monday, June 29, cyclists will be able to use the Dorpsweg crosswalk.
  • On Tuesday, June 30, cyclists will be able to use the Bonseweg crossing.

• The sidewalk and curb are being repaved.

Detour 

• The sidewalk between Vloedlijn and Schelpenpad will be closed off entirely. 
• Pedestrians are being rerouted to the other side of the street.

Where

• On Dijkweg, between Dorpsweg and Dag Hammarskjöldlaan, contractor Van Gelder is replacing the asphalt. 
• On June 24 and 29, that section of Dijkweg will be closed. 
• On Wednesday, June 24, a layer of asphalt will be removed. Please be careful when cycling on the road in the days following. The road surface is uneven.
• New asphalt will be laid on Monday, June 29.

• The houses on Dijkweg can be reached via Moeder Teresalaan.

• On Wednesday, June 24, a layer of asphalt will be removed. Please be careful when cycling in the days following the work, as the road will be uneven.
• New asphalt will be laid on Monday, June 29.

When 

• From Monday, March 9, until the end of December. 

Where

• Jupiterlaan, Plutostraat, Sagittastraat, Orionstraat, Librastraat, Wega, and part of Van Leijdenstraat in Rockanje.
• We are starting with the construction of a new rainwater sewer. This means that rainwater will not end up in the sewage system, but will be discharged into the groundwater or the canal. All drainage wells on the roadway will be connected to this sewer.
• After installing the new sewer system, the street will be closed again using the same materials. The sewer trench must settle for three months (to prevent subsequent subsidence of the street).
• Then we will start redesigning the neighborhood. Among other things, the paving will be completely redone. We will use new materials for this. New shrubs and trees will also be planted in the neighborhood.

Detour 

• During the work, some homes will be more difficult to reach by car. Residents will always be able to reach their homes on foot.

The Hollandse Delta Water Authority is going to tackle the section running from Oostvoorne to Rockanje. This concerns the Heveringseweg, Verlengde Lodderlandsedijk, Boomweg, and Vleerdamsedijk. The section will be redesigned to meet sustainable safety standards, and major maintenance will be carried out on some parts.

When

• The work will take place from Monday, June 1, through Friday, June 5. Middeldijk will be closed during the work. 

Where

• Following the work carried out in late 2025, the Middeldijk will be marked with red paint on the bike lanes and yellow paint at intersections and speed bumps.
• Work on the speed bump at the intersection of Middeldijk and Kerkweg will begin on Monday, June 1. The work will continue through Friday, June 5.
• On Tuesday, June 2, and Wednesday, June 3, we will be applying a coat of yellow paint to the intersection of Middeldijk, Kerkweg, and Hoogvlietlaan, as well as the intersection of Middeldijk and Mercuriuslaan, and the speed bumps in between.
• On Thursday, June 4, and Friday, June 5, the bike lanes on Middeldijk will be repainted red.

Detour 

• Middeldijk is closed. A detour route is marked with signs. Traffic controllers are also on site to direct traffic. 
• Residents of Middeldijk have received more information about parking and access to their homes in a letter to residents from contractor Van Gelder.
