  • During the construction work, a detour route will be in effect, which will be marked with signs. The detour route can also be found in the BouwApp.
  • Pedestrians can, however, walk across the adjacent pedestrian bridge along the water.
  • To prevent road users from having to back up along the Oostkade, we are constructing a U-turn loop in front of the bridge. To do this, the last two parking spaces must remain clear. Therefore, a temporary parking ban is in effect there.

Redesign of Jupiter Avenue and surrounding area

Where

  • Jupiterlaan, Plutostraat, Sagittastraat, Orionstraat, Librastraat, Wega, and part of Van Leijdenstraat in Rockanje.
  • We are starting with the construction of a new rainwater sewer. This means that rainwater will not end up in the sewage system, but will be discharged into the groundwater or the canal. All drainage wells on the roadway will be connected to this sewer.
  • After installing the new sewer system, the street will be closed again using the same materials. The sewer trench must settle for three months (to prevent subsequent subsidence of the street).
  • Then we will start redesigning the neighborhood. Among other things, the paving will be completely redone. We will use new materials for this. New shrubs and trees will also be planted in the neighborhood.

Detour

  • During the work, some homes will be more difficult to reach by car. Residents will always be able to reach their homes on foot.
