Renovation of the Marinebuurt neighborhood in Hellevoetsluis
The Marinebuurt neighborhood in Hellevoetsluis is undergoing a thorough renovation. The paving is outdated and has deteriorated further due to previous work. That is why contractor Van Doorn, commissioned by the municipality Voorne aan Zee, is starting an extensive improvement of the neighborhood. Below you will find more information about the work.

What are we going to do?
The work started on Monday, November 24, and will continue until Friday, November 13, 2026. It will be carried out in phases. The work will take place between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The homes will remain accessible on foot at all times.
We are renovating almost all of the paving in the Marinebuurt neighborhood. We are also replacing playground equipment that is in need of renewal. During this process, we are making the neighborhood more climate-friendly. For example, we are creating green parking spaces, planting new trees, and replacing unnecessary paving with greenery wherever possible. Existing green spaces are also being renovated. In addition, we are repairing the sewer system in places where subsidence has occurred. Finally, we are replacing the revetments along the bank at Dibbetsplantsoen. These will be converted into a nature-friendly bank.
