Authenticating copy or transcript
The municipality may issue certified copies of certain documents. For example, of your passport or driver's license. By authenticating, the official certifies that the copy looks exactly like the original.
You may need a certified copy or certified transcript for:
- formal transactions, such as buying a house;
- cases where you don't want to hand over the original document, such as a copy of an identity document.
