Does your own land border a piece of public green space or other land belonging to the municipality? In some cases, you can buy or rent that land. The municipality has an established policy for selling and renting municipal land.

When does the municipality not issue the land?

When considering a possible issue, the municipality looks at the function of the green strip. If it is a green strip that has a clear urban development or planning function, the strip will not be considered for issuance.

If there are cables and pipes in the ground, issuance of the plot will usually not be possible. This is because the owner of the cables and pipes almost always stipulates that the pipes must be located in a public area.

Do you rent a house? Then the municipality will not sell a green strip or residual land to you, but under Requirements rental of the green strip is sometimes possible.

How does it work?

In exceptional cases, it is possible for residents to purchase a piece of land. The piece of land must meet several Requirements in order to be sold. The selling price depends on the neighborhood where you live. The table under 'Costs' shows the land prices per m².
