House rules for the municipality of Voorne aan Zee

The house rules are the same in all municipal buildings. They are clearly displayed on a sign or poster at the entrance. You can also find them on our website.

By entering this building, you agree to our house rules:

  • We have house rules to ensure a pleasant and respectful environment for all employees and visitors. Would you be willing to cooperate with these rules?
  • Our staff will assist you as best they can. Sometimes they may not be able to fulfill your request because they have to follow municipal policy.
  • Always follow the instructions of our staff. This is important for order and safety.
  • If you cause a disturbance to employees or other visitors, we will ask you to leave the building.
  • It is not permitted to wear clothing that completely covers the face or leaves only the eyes visible, making you unrecognizable.
  • Smoking is prohibited in this building. We kindly ask you not to smoke near the building either.
  • Dogs are not allowed in this building. Service dogs and guide dogs are, of course, welcome.
  • There is camera surveillance in all public areas.
  • We do our best to answer every question properly. Sometimes you may have to wait a little while.

Sound recordings

  • Audio recording is permitted unless there is a good reason not to do so. In that case, the municipality will offer an alternative.
  • You must give advance notice if you wish to make an audio recording;
  • Upon request, you will provide the municipality with a copy of the recording, or vice versa;
  • You or the municipality may not edit a sound recording unless this has been agreed upon;
  • You may not share or publish the audio recordings without the municipality's permission. The municipality may not do so without your permission either.

Image recordings

  • You are not permitted to take photographs of employees in municipal buildings without permission;
  • First ask for verbal or written permission if you want to film;
  • Employees may refuse to be filmed on the basis of portrait rights;
  • Filming in municipal buildings without permission is punishable by law (Article 139f of the Criminal Code).
  • The municipality will record its decision regarding your request to film;
  • If filming is permitted, the following rules apply:
    • Do not cut or paste in the image recording;
    • Do not share images with others;
    • Do not disclose without the consent of the person filmed.

Sharing personal data

It is prohibited to obtain, distribute, or otherwise make available personal data of employees (Article 285d of the Criminal Code).

These rules apply to all customer contacts and communication channels, for example, by telephone, email, social media, during a visit to a location, or in the region. Unwanted behavior is not accepted, even in contacts between employees of the organization and citizens outside municipal buildings.

If you do not comply with the rules, we will address this with you. You may receive a warning or a sanction. For example, you may no longer be assisted or you may no longer be allowed to enter the building. Any damage you cause will be recovered from you. All incidents will be recorded. If necessary, we will call in the police.
