Protected housing (Wmo)

Do you or a loved one of yours have mental or psychosocial problems? Then living independently can sometimes be difficult. In this situation, you can apply for protected living. Protected living means that you live safely and receive guidance. Exactly what assistance you will receive and how long it will last depends on your personal situation.

You indicate what problems you have. The municipality will then look at what options are available and conduct an investigation. 

If, after an investigation, it appears that an application for sheltered housing is most appropriate in your situation, an application will be submitted to the Nissewaard center municipality. This is because access to sheltered housing in this region is organized by center municipality Nissewaard.
