Bulky waste

You can take bulky and remodeling waste away to the Environmental park or have it collected from your home by the collection service. Bulky waste collection costs €40 per type of waste (combustible, non-combustible and pruning waste)

Do you have pruning waste? Then you can also bring it to the Environmental park. If you live in Rockanje, Oostvoorne or Tinte, it is also possible to have pruning waste collected at home. It must be delivered bound.

Bulky household waste (MSW).

You can take the bulky waste away to the Environmental park or have it picked up at your home by the collection service for €40. 

Bulky waste collection 

• You can register your bulky waste until the Tuesday before the collection day, unless it is full. You can sign up via the afvalwijzer app or myafvalwijzernl Please note: full is really full.
• Please note that you can always offer different, but similar, materials than literally listed in the drop-down list. You can mention this in the comments field.

Offering bulky waste 

• Put the bulky waste on the sidewalk in front of your house or at the nearest container site starting at 7:30 a.m. on collection day. Do not put the bulky waste on your own property; it will not be taken off your own property.
• Notice! Bulky waste must not exceed 25 kilo per bundle.
• Note! The bulky waste must not be longer than 2 meters and no larger than 1 m³.

One vehicle for each type of waste passes by to collect the waste. Therefore, offer bulky waste clearly separated. 

Bulky garbage not picked up?

Your bulky waste may not have been picked up. For example, because you offer more waste than the municipality allows. Has your bulky waste not been collected? Then call Renewi, telephone number (0181) 33 01 00. They can tell you why your waste has not been collected.

Disposal of bulky waste 

• Bring your bulky household waste, yard waste and construction and demolition waste to the City Yard. 
• When visiting the City Yard, remember to bring your environmental pass and (upon request) identification. 
• Collection of bulky waste costs €40 per fraction (combustible or noncombustible) for up to 1 cubic meter

For a good and fast flow in the City Yard, we kindly ask you to:

• Dispose of packaging glass, textiles/clothing and residual waste bags through the designated (neighborhood) containers whenever possible. 
• Offer Waste Paper and Cardboard (OPK), Plastic, Metal Packaging and Beverage Cartons (PMD) through the mini containers at your residence or (for apartment residents) through the assigned underground container for OPK and PMD waste.
• Have your environmental pass and a valid ID on hand when you visit the city yard.

You can take bulky waste away to the Environmental park or have it picked up at your home by the collection service. Do not forget to bring your environmental card to the Environmental park in Hellevoetsluis. You will need it to open the barrier. 

Costs

Handing in remodeling waste to the Environmental park costs €35* per m³. The table below shows the cost of having bulky and remodeling waste collected. 

If you have remodeling waste collected, you must offer the waste in a big bag. A big bag has a capacity of 1 m³ (1x1x1 meter). You can pick up the big bag in advance and pay at the Environmental park. Once the big bag is filled you can call the bulky waste line. Call (0181) 39 08 73 to make an appointment to pick up the waste.

Trimmings can be taken away by yourself to the Environmental park. This is free of charge. You can also have it picked up in a big bag.

Availability and use of big bag

• You can request a maximum of 1 big bag for remodeling waste per month.
• When applying, an estimate of the quantity and size of the waste must be made. The big bags have a capacity of 1 m³. Multiple big bags must be requested for larger quantities of waste. For bulky waste, no more than 1 m³ may be offered.
• The big bag is labeled with a number. Upon delivery of the big bag, this number is linked to your address and the batch of waste to be collected
• You pay the cost of the big bags at the Environmental park by pin or cash.
• For bulky (household) waste that does not fit in the big bag, make a separate appointment via the bulky waste line (0181) 39 08 73.

Have bigbag collected

• To make the appointment, call the bulky waste line (0181) 39 08 73. The bulky waste line is available on weekdays during business hours.
• It asks for:
  • the registration number of the big bag(s)
  • the pick-up address
  • the number of big bags 
  • the type of waste
• The filled big bag will be picked up on a Tuesday after a phone appointment.
• The big bag must be easily accessible to a truck with a crane from the public road (i.e. not under trees or lampposts).
• On collection day, you do not need to be at home.
• Garbage that is next to it or mis-offered will not be taken.
