Taking Bulky Trash to the Dump or Arranging for Pickup

You can bring bulky items and renovation waste to the “ Environmental park ” yourself. Be sure to bring your environmental pass and identification. Pay for any waste that requires a fee using your debit card.

You can bring bulky household waste, yard waste, and construction and demolition waste—among other things—to the Environmental park .

Here's how to avoid long wait times at the Environmental park:

• Please take glass packaging, textiles, clothing, and bags of general waste to the designated neighborhood recycling bins as much as possible.
• Please dispose of waste paper and cardboard (OPK) and plastic, metal packaging, and beverage cartons (PMD) in the small containers near your home. Do you live in an apartment? If so, please use the designated underground containers for OPK and PMD. 

For Hellevoetsluis, Nieuwehoorn and Oudenhoorn

You can take bulky waste to the Environmental park . Be sure to bring your environmental pass to the Environmental park in Hellevoetsluis. You'll need it to open the barrier.

For Brielle, Vierpolders, Zwartewaal, Oostvoorne, Rockanje and Tinte

Would you like to have your bulky waste picked up? If so, please request pickup via the Reinis app. You can schedule your bulky waste pickup until the Tuesday before the collection day, unless the collection day is already full.

How to Dispose of Your Bulky Waste

• On collection day, starting at 7:30 a.m., place your bulky waste on the sidewalk in front of your house or at the nearest container site.
• Do not leave bulky waste on your own property. We will not pick it up from there.
• A bundle of bulky waste may weigh no more than 25, kilo .
• Bulky waste may be up to 2 meters long and must not exceed a total volume of 1 m³.
• Please separate different types of waste clearly. One vehicle will come to collect each type of waste. 

For Hellevoetsluis, Nieuwehoorn and Oudenhoorn

Would you like to have your bulky waste picked up? If so, please call 088 700 3011 to schedule an appointment.

Would you like to have your renovation waste picked up? If so, you must place it in a big bag. A big bag has a capacity of 1 m³ (1 x 1 x 1 meter). You can pick up and pay for the big bag in advance at the “ Environmental park .” Once the big bag is full, call the bulky waste hotline at 088 700 3011 to schedule a pickup.

Do you have yard trimmings? You can drop them off for free at the “ Environmental park .” Would you like to have them picked up? If so, please make an appointment. The cost is the same as for bulky waste pickup.

Requesting and Using Big Bags

• You can request a maximum of one big bag for renovation waste per month.
• A big bag has a capacity of 1 m³.
• Estimate in advance how much waste you have. Do you have more waste? If so, order several big bags.
• A maximum of 1 m³ per trip applies to bulky waste.
• Each big bag has a unique number linked to your address and waste.
• You can pay for the big bag at the Environmental park using a debit card.
• Does your bulky (household) waste not fit in the big bag? If so, please make a separate appointment by calling the bulky waste hotline: 088 700 3011. 

Arrange for a big bag to be picked up

Call the bulky waste hotline at 088 700 3011. The bulky waste hotline is available on weekdays during business hours.

When making the appointment, please provide the following information:

• the registration number of the big bag(s)
• the pick-up address
• the number of big bags
• the type of waste 

The big bag will be collected on Tuesday after a telephone appointment.

Health Make sure the big bag is easily accessible from the public road and that there are no obstacles, such as trees or streetlights. You do not need to be home on pickup day.

We will not pick up trash left next to the big bag or trash that has been disposed of improperly.

Was your bulky waste not picked up? This may be because, for example, you put out more waste than the municipality allows.

• furniture made of wood, metal, or plastic, such as sofas, chairs, and tables
• large electrical appliances, such as home appliances and consumer electronics
• bulky yard waste, such as branches, beams, and tree trunks
• other household and decorative items, such as mattresses, curtains, and carpeting 

The following types of waste are not collected as bulky waste:

• construction and demolition waste
• tiles and stones
• chemical waste, such as paint and pressurized containers (gas cylinders)
• asbestos-containing materials 

You can, however, take these types of waste to the Environmental park .
