AED

An Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is a device that can restart the heart in the event of cardiac arrest. Cardiac arrest often occurs at home. An ambulance is not always fast enough to arrive in time. An AED nearby can save lives.

AED available within 6 minutes

The municipality Voorne aan Zee to be a heart-safe municipality. That is why we ensure that an AED can be reached within 6 minutes. This is approximately within 500 meters. We call this a 6-minute zone.

For a good 6-minute zone, there must be enough AEDs that are accessible 24 hours a day. The municipality ensures that this remains the case. The Map shows where the 24/7 AEDs Voorne aan Zee in Voorne aan Zee .
