WOZ value
Samenwerkingsverband Vastgoedinformatie Heffing en Waardebepaling (SVHW) levies and collects local taxes for the municipality of Voorne aan Zee. Every year, SVHW determines the value of your house, building, plot or land. This is called the 'valuation of immovable property (WOZ)'. We use this value to determine how much property tax (OZB) you must pay.
Letter from SVHW
The WOZ value can be found in the letter (assessment) you receive from SVHW in February or March each year. The WOZ-value determines the amount of the property tax (OZB) of the municipality. The water board and the national tax authority also use the WOZ value for their taxes and levies. Do you have a house for sale? Then you need the WOZ value for your income tax return.
Objecting
For more information about the WOZ value, visit svhw.nl. Do you doubt whether the WOZ value is correct? Then you can file an objection with the SVHW. You can easily do that yourself.
Please note that it may take some time before you receive a decision on your objection. SVHW has until the end of the year to issue this ruling. This is arranged by law to give SVHW time to handle the large number of WOZ objections.
