Neighborhood fire department
Voorne aan Zee its own neighborhood fire department. Megan van Luijk is your point of contact for advice on fire safety in and around your home. To that end, the neighborhood fire department organizes informational sessions for residents, conducts individual home inspections, and provides demonstrations and tips.
Neighborhood Fire Department Walk-In Consultation Hours:
- Monday, June 22, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., at Tintestein in Tinte, in collaboration with the Enforcement Department
- Thursday, June 25, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., De Gaffelaar in Zwartewaal, in collaboration with Handhaving
Neighborhood Fire Department Pop-Up Consultation Hours:
- Saturday, July 18, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the weekly market in Hellevoetsluis
- Wednesday, July 22, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the weekly market in Oostvoorne
- Friday, July 31, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the weekly market in Rockanje
- Monday, August 3, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the weekly market in Brielle
- Wednesday, August 12, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the De Struytse Hoeck shopping center (covered area near Jumbo)
Community Firefighter Megan van Luijk: “I want to be easily recognizable and visible to the residents of Voorne aan Zee. That’s why you’ll see me in many different places. My goal is to make Voorne aan Zee . And hopefully, that will lead to fewer house fires, less damage, and fewer casualties.”
