Grant for Fireworks-Free New Year's Eve Celebrations
Setting off fireworks is no longer allowed. A nationwide fireworks ban has been in effect since August 1, 2026, and Voorne aan Zee will not be issuing any exemptions for the upcoming New Year’s Eve. But we can still celebrate together—just in a different way. And we’d love to help you with that!
Up to €5,000 for your party
Would you like to organize an event for your neighborhood on December 31 or January 1? If so, apply for a grant. You can do so as an association, foundation, nonprofit organization, or business owner. Here are the Requirements:
- Up to €5,000 per activity
- Applications from October 1 through November 30, 2026
- The event is fireworks-free, open to everyone, and fits in well with your village or neighborhood
- Does your plan have the potential to become a new tradition? If so, you've got a head start!
What are some examples?
- Counting down to midnight together in the village square, with music and hot chocolate
- A light-up tour along decorated facades and gardens, with a prize for the most beautifully decorated facade
- A silent disco for young people, where everyone dances to the same song at midnight
- A countdown for the little ones at 6:00 p.m., with lemonade and oliebollen
- A neighborhood party on your own street, big or small
