Pollution in ditches between Brielle and Kruiningergors
On Wednesday, September 2, the water board received reports of an oil slick in the water near Brielse Meer and the WSV Brielle marina. The oil is diesel fuel.

The diesel fuel entered the water system through the inlet near the WSV Brielle marina. The source of the contamination is still unknown.
Measures
The water board and Staatsbosbeheer conducted an immediate inspection. To prevent further spread, the diesel fuel has been contained and the water is being cleaned.
Opinion
We recommend that, for the time being, no water be drawn from the ditch in the area outlined in red between Brielle and Kruiningergors, as shown on Map.
