Communicating relocation

Report your move to the municipality where you will be living. Do this no later than 5 days after you have moved. If you want to report the move earlier, you can do so up to 4 weeks before the date of relocation.

Note!

If you report a change of address after moving, the date of moving is the date of change of address. This must be done within 5 days of moving.

  • If you report later, the date you report the change to the municipality is the official date of change of address.
  • If you have passed on a move in the future, the municipality will update the address information on the date you pass on. This is then the date of address change.
  • If you are not in the register of non-integrated persons (RNI) then you must make an appointment for registration in the municipality coming from abroad.

Health make sure you give all the information the municipality needs. Otherwise, the municipality will not update your address information.
