Language and computer lessons

Many things become easier if you can read, write, and use the internet well. For example, finding work, managing money, raising children, and living healthily. If you no longer need to integrate, but would like to improve your Dutch and computer skills, we are happy to help.

You can take free language courses at NLtraining and Sagènn. You can practice language and computer skills at the library. Are you unable to go to the library to practice using a computer? Then a DigiMaatje from SBO will come to your home to help you. The courses are for people who are new to the Netherlands, but also for people who were born here.

Language courses

The language courses are provided by NLtraining and Sagènn. You will be taught by well-trained teachers. The municipality pays for the course. You do not need to request permission from the municipality.

Requirements:

  • You are 18 years of age or older.
  • You live in the municipality of Voorne aan Zee.
  • You are no longer required to integrate.

Language courses on health, work and development

NLtraining offers a course on health, work, and development. In this course, you will learn Dutch, math, and digital skills. The course is free of charge. You will receive a certificate of participation.

You choose which topic you consider important. You can choose from:

Getting a language degree

Sagènn offers language courses to obtain a language diploma. This diploma is important for work or study. The course is free of charge. You will need a laptop for the course. If you do not have a laptop, you can borrow one from Sagènn.

The library

You can practice Dutch at the library. You can do this with a language buddy or in the language café. At the digital café, you can learn how to use a computer and the internet. The library also offers digital courses. You can find more information on the library's website.

Digital Government Information Point

The Digital Government Information Point (IDO) is located in the library and is available to answer all your questions about digital government. For example, logging in with your DigiD, applying for benefits, health declarations, or requesting your pension overview. You can visit the IDO consultation hour in the library for information and assistance with (digital) government matters. The staff will be happy to help you.

Digital Buddy

Are you unable to visit the library or the Digital Government Information Point? Then a DigiMaatje from SBO will come to your home to help you. A DigiMaatje is a volunteer who will help you with things on the computer, such as sending photos, ordering something online, or paying bills.
