Register for an Electrical Connection

Are you a business owner or a private individual with plans to build a home? You can no longer submit your project for the municipality’s priority list.

The September 27 registration deadline has passed. We will no longer accept new applications for a spot on the priority list.

Why this policy?

Voorne aan Zee is due to grid congestion. This means the power grid is at capacity. As a result, there isn’t enough capacity for new electricity connections. This also affects housing construction and educational projects.

That is why we have asked business owners and residents to submit their construction plans to us. For these projects, the municipality is applying to Stedin for the electricity connection on a case-by-case basis.

Overview of the Applications

The municipality submits requests for transmission capacity to Stedin for the proposed construction projects. This places them on Stedin’s waiting list.

We received applications from various project proponents through September 27 for construction projects planned through 2036. Below is an overview of the applications and the order in which they have been ranked.

The final allocation of available transmission capacity is determined by Stedin. Therefore, no rights can be derived from this order, and the list does not guarantee that transmission capacity will be obtained. The position on the list merely indicates the order in which the projects were submitted. Furthermore, the assessment did not take into account the desirability or feasibility of the individual construction plans.

Costs

Submitting an application is free. For the transmission capacity itself, you’ll pay a 20% deposit to Stedin. This amount is subject to change. The rules regarding this have not yet been finalized.
