Suzerin Kalpoe

I am Suzerin Kalpoe, married and the proud father of two sons.

In my spare time I play (Indian) music and am a soccer referee in Leidschendam-Voorburg.

In recent years I have had the pleasure of performing many weddings and also registered partnerships. I have recently been appointed as an extraordinary civil servant, or BABS for short. Every marriage or registered partnership is a challenge, because every couple is different.

Performing marriages and Registered Partnerships is not a job for me, but an enjoyable leisure activity. I strive to visit the brides and grooms at home to discuss their wishes regarding the ceremony and to go over any questions. I work out the information obtained at a later stage. Usually the conversation involves first eye contact, first approach, exchange of contact information, first date, introduction to the families, proposal, hand asking, etc.

Fortunately, marriage and registered partnership is open to all. I hope to be part of an important day in your life. Not the most important day, as is often said. I hope you may experience many more beautiful days in your life.

In addition to Dutch, your ceremony can also be conducted in English, Surinamese and/or Hindustani.
My guiding principle is "Nothing must, everything is allowed."
Everything is allowed, but must be within the law.
