Ban on Gatherings at Kaaipoort and Ravense Park Extended
The bans on gatherings in and around the Kaaipoort in Brielle and Ravense Park in Hellevoetsluis have been extended. The ban will remain in effect through Saturday, December 12, 2026. Mayor Arno Scheepers made this decision after consulting with the police and the Public Prosecutor’s Office.

Why is the ban being extended?
A ban on gatherings has been in effect at both locations since August 11, 2026. The municipality, police, enforcement agencies, and youth services have also taken other measures to reduce the nuisance. Warnings, neighborhood bans, and fines have been issued, and fat bikes have been confiscated. At first, the measures seemed to be effective. However, despite the efforts of enforcement officials and the police, the disturbances are on the rise again, and reports and indications of disturbances continue to come in. For this reason, the ban will remain in effect for another two months.
What will change?
The gathering bans are in effect through Saturday, December 12, 2026, 24 hours a day.
Which area are we talking about?
The ban applies in and around the Kaaipoort in Brielle and in and around Ravense Park in Hellevoetsluis.
Could the ban last any longer?
If necessary, the mayor may extend the gathering bans again. The municipality continues to closely monitor the situation in collaboration with the police, enforcement agencies, and youth services.
