Parking of large vehicles

Where can you park? 

The designated parking spaces are for large vans type N1/M1 (vans) and not trucks. Separate parking spaces are available for trucks. Smaller buses, like passenger cars, may simply park in the district.

Requesting an exemption

Do you want to park a large vehicle in the N1/M1 category at a non-designated location? Then apply for an exemption from the municipality. 

How does it work?

You need a parking waiver in the following cases:

  • your vehicle is longer than 6 meters and higher than 2.4 meters
  • you want to park at a location outside the designated parking locations
  • you want to park Monday through Friday between 6 p.m. and 8 a.m. or on weekends

Do you have an RV, caravan or camper van that is longer than 6 meters and higher than 2.4 meters? Then you may park it on the road for a maximum of 3 days. You do not need to apply for an exemption for this.

In doing so, please provide the following information:

  • your name and address
  • details of your vehicle
  • the street where you want to park the vehicle
  • date and time you want to park the vehicle
  • Why you want to park your large vehicle on the road

How long does it take?

Within 8 weeks, you will hear whether you get the waiver.

Objecting

Do you disagree with the municipality's decision? Then you can object within 6 weeks.

Parking large vehicles (trucks)

Parking spaces have already been designated for trucks. Vehicles longer than 6 meters or higher than 2.40 meters (and not in the M1/N1 category) are not allowed to park in the built-up areas of the municipality of Voorne aan Zee. This is only allowed in places designated for this purpose by the municipality.
