Waste paper and cardboard

You can dispose of waste paper in several ways. 

Waste paper is collected periodically in the municipality (blue container). We do this every 4 weeks. If you want to dispose of your old paper and cardboard in the meantime, you can go to the Environmental park and various collection containers. These are in various locations and can be found on My Afvalwijzer. In the Afvalwijzer Guide you will find an overview of the dates on which the mini-container is emptied.

What should I do?

Make big boxes small

Cut or tear large cardboard boxes into smaller pieces before disposing of them. This provides more space in the containers. Also, small cut or torn pieces of cardboard keep the underground container from getting clogged. 

What belongs to scrap paper and cardboard

What belongs with the old paper and cardboard and can go in the blue bin and/or container? Below you can see which products really do not belong with the old paper and cardboard. 

Do waste paper / cardboard

Offer waste paper and cardboard clean and dry:

  • Gift paper (no foil!)
  • Egg Boxes
  • Envelopes (also with window)
  • Newspapers and leaflets
  • Cardboard boxes
  • Empty toilet paper and/or kitchen roll
  • Paper bags
  • Pizza boxes
  • Magazines

No scrap paper / cardboard

  • Used coffee cups
  • Pizza boxes with leftover food
  • Bread bag with plastic 
  • Kitchen paper used
  • Beverage cartons made of cardboard
  • Bubble envelope

Offer the remaining products as residual waste

Is paper or cardboard wet or dirty? Or does it contain a lot of plastic, such as a bubble envelope? Then offer it as residual waste (gray container), or in the case of drinking cartons: with the PMD waste (orange container or Plastic Heroes bag).
