Development site Dwarsweg Rockanje
Here we inform you about the latest status of the Dwarsweg project in Rockanje.
The first phase of the project was completed several years ago with the construction of the new building De Merel and twenty social housing units. On the vacant location of the old buildings of De Merel, the library and the school will be 24 homes.
The plan
There will be two short cul-de-sacs on Dwarsweg with semi-detached and detached houses. There will be four detached houses on Dirk van Voornelaan and one on the south side of the plan. The houses will have on-site parking spaces and new parking areas on the streets. On the south side of the plan there will be several additional parking spaces for the neighborhood.
What preceded
Following the completion of the new Multifunctional Center de Merel, the buildings on Dwarsweg have been demolished. The site has now been prepared for building. This means that the site has been prepared for the construction of the homes. Remaining building and street materials have been removed, separate sewers for both rainwater and wastewater and connections for the future homes have been installed. The site is now ready for construction of the homes to begin.
What happens next?
The municipality has sold the land to the developer Strandparel Wonen B.V., which will build the 24 homes. The necessary environmental permit for the construction has now been granted. Archaeological surveys have recently been conducted on the site, and these have been completed. The developer is currently finalizing the last details before beginning sales and construction of the homes.
