Quality improvement outlying area Brielle and Westvoorne
On January 22, 2020 and January 28, 2020, the old municipal councils of Brielle and Westvoorne approved the new environmental plans for the rural area. These new plans replace all the old zoning plans for the rural area of Brielle and Westvoorne.
Omgevingswet and environmental vision
The new environmental plans comply with the Omgevingswet. This means that the approach to these plans is different from the old zoning plans. An environmental plan is more focused on development than the old zoning plans, which primarily sought to preserve functions. The existing rights and possibilities have been incorporated into the new environmental plans. The policy framework from the environmental visions of the former municipalities of Brielle and Westvoorne has also been added to the new plan. With this we want to make the outlying area more flexible, within the rules of the environmental visions of Brielle and Westvoorne.

The environmental plan Buitengebied Westvoorne was prepared jointly with the former municipality of Brielle, each for its own territory. Thus, there is now an environmental plan Buitengebied Brielle and an environmental plan Buitengebied Westvoorne. The environmental plan for the outlying area of Brielle was also adopted unanimously on January 28, 2020.
Digital plans
The Omgevingswet assumes a digital way of working. This means that there is no paper version of the new plans. You can view the plans on the website of Crotec environmental plan Brielle and Crotect environmental plan Westvoorne.

For new developments we also ask you to enter into an early dialogue with your surroundings. The policy rule"Guideline for dialogue with the environment" has been drawn up for this purpose.
