Individual income supplement

The individual income supplement is for people who have a long-term low income. You receive this supplement if you have no prospect of income improvement. You apply for the individual income supplement at the municipality.

Disbursement

  • The municipality determines the amount of the individual income supplement.
  • The supplement is paid out once a year.
  • The supplement is tax-free.
  • You decide how to spend the money.

How does it work?

You qualify for the individual income supplement if you meet the following Requirements:

  • You are 21 or older and under retirement age.
  • You live in the municipality of Voorne aan Zee.
  • You were not entitled to an individual income supplement last year.
  • For the past 3 years, you had a low income.
  • You have no prospect of improving your income.
  • During that period, your income did not exceed 120% of the welfare standard.
  • During that period, you were not a student.
  • You had no assets above the "exempt assets(tax assets)" during that period.
  • You fulfilled all your work and/or reintegration obligations during that period.

Child allowance

Child allowance is part of the individual income supplement. Do you have a long-term low income and children living at home between the ages of 0 and 17? Then you will receive a Child Supplement of €200 per child per year. This money is for larger expenses for your child, such as a stroller or furnishing your child's bedroom.

You can check whether you can apply for individual income supplement via Calculate your entitlement. Does the program indicate that you can apply for individual income supplement? Then you can log in with DigiD and apply immediately. The program also indicates which supporting documents are required.
