Municipal Clerk’s Office

How does the Municipal Clerk’s Office work?

The Clerk and the Municipal Clerk’s Office are there for the City Council. The Municipal Clerk’s Office s Office is not part of the civil service organization, but is appointed by and employed by the council.

The Municipal Clerk’s Office s Office schedules meetings, ensures complete and accurate meeting documents, and advises on proposals, methods and/or approaches. Residents can also count on the Municipal Clerk’s Offices Office. Are residents and agencies seeking contact with council, groups and/or council members? Or do they want to use the right to speak, submit a citizens' initiative? Then the Municipal Clerk’s Office s Office is there for them.

To properly safeguard the interests of the council, the clerk works intensively with the political groups, the mayor and the city clerk, and regularly consults with management, aldermen and policy staff. Furthermore, the (deputy) clerk attends council meetings and signs council resolutions.
