Energy Coaches
Are your energy bills rising and you don't know why? Or do you want to know what subsidies are available to insulate your home? Then ask an energy coach for help! An energy coach is a resident of Voorne aan Zee who can give you good advice on saving energy. They do this during a conversation at your home. All energy coaches are trained by the municipality and can help you with all kinds of questions about energy. Do you live in Voorne aan Zee? Then make a free, no-obligation appointment for an energy consultation with one of our coaches.

Please note! Energy coaches are volunteers and not always available. Also, each energy coach gives advice in certain places within Voorne aan Zee. Not all energy coaches advise in all villages and towns.
What does the energy coach do?
During the conversation, the coach looks at your energy bill with you: what exactly does it say and which parts are important? Then, using a questionnaire, the energy coach gives all kinds of practical tips for small measures to reduce your energy consumption. The coach also tells you how much money you can save per year with these tips.
Finally, the coach can advise you on energy-saving measures for your home that may be beneficial. The coach will also tell you what financing options are available. This gives you a good idea of the possibilities for energy savings and allows you to choose how to go about it in your home.

Heat Scan
The energy coaches can do a heat scan of your home. This heat scan is free of charge. You can make an appointment with them for this. Not all coaches can do a heat scan, so be careful when making an appointment that you choose a coach who can do this and also visits your place of residence.
Note! It does have to be cold outside to properly see where your home is losing heat or where the cold is actually coming in. Therefore, the heat scan cannot be done every day. There must be at least 10 degrees difference between inside and outside. Early morning in winter or during cloudy weather are the best times.

What is a heat scan?
Every home is different, making it difficult for you as a homeowner to determine which measures will have the most impact on your energy use. Are you losing the most heat through the roof, walls or floor? A heat scan can help you discover this so you can better assess which steps are most effective. Even if your home was recently retrofitted, a heat scan can show where improvements can still be made.
A heat scan takes an infrared picture of your home to show the areas where the most heat is lost. This allows you, the homeowner, to choose the best measures to save energy.
