Digital information boards
In the municipality there are different types of digital information boards along the access roads and on the through roads through Hellevoetsluis (Kanaalweg, Amnesty Internationallaan, Nieuweweg and Rijkstraatweg), Brielle (Groene Kruisweg and G.J van den Boogerdweg). Rockanje (Brielseweg) and Oostvoorne (Nieuwe Achterweg).
How does it work?
The digital information boards are owned by Centercom and Suurland Outdoor. Businesses can advertise on them for a fee. The municipality also has some airtime on the boards. This is used for messages about municipal services, campaigns organized or supported by the municipality, and announcements of cultural activities.
An announcement of a cultural activity must meet the following Requirements:
- The activity is organized by the municipality or an association, institution, or other non-profit organization in the municipality Voorne aan Zee. Membership recruitment and general advertisements are not included.
- Regular (weekly or monthly) recurring regular activities, such as weekly sports games or performances, are not allowed. An announcement of an annual tournament or open house, for example, is allowed.
- The activity must be publicly accessible.
- The activity will take place in the municipality of Voorne aan Zee.
- The activity has a regional appeal (this does not include neighborhood barbecues and the like).
- The activity has a permit or it is a permit-free activity.
- Videos, blinding, reflective and overpowering ads are not allowed.
What should I do?
Advertising
Companies and/or organizations can advertise on the digital signs for a fee.

List non-commercial activities (non-profit organizations)
Organizations wishing to list a non-commercial activity on the boards in Hellevoetsluis and/or Brielle can apply by sending an email to nl The municipality will then review whether the activity meets the Requirements and whether airtime is available in the desired time period.
In principle, the advertisement is placed for a period of 7 days. Large events can be placed on the boards for a longer period (for example, 2 weeks prior to the event. The advertisement text must be delivered to the municipality at least 5 working days before the desired placement date.
Submit text/advertisement
For the signs in Hellevoetsluis and Brielle, applicants can submit a ready-made advertisement or just a text message via nl. If only a text message is submitted, the municipality will place the text in a standard format for the digital signs. A ready-made advertisement must comply with the specifications for Hellevoetsluis from Centercom. For Brielle, please contact Suurland Outdoor.
Only text can be placed on the signs in Rockanje and Oostvoorne. This has space for 5 lines of max. 16 characters (including spaces and punctuation).
