In 2014 I transferred from the Rotterdam-Rijnmond police to the then municipality of Brielle. After more than five years in the Department of Public Order and Safety, I became part of the Department of Economic Affairs in 2020. As a result of the merger and therefore the expansion of this department, the position of business contact officer became available.
Together with colleague Monique van der Schans, I manage the Entrepreneurs' Desk.

In this role I feel comfortable and can assist entrepreneurs in searching through the forest of laws and regulations and that of the official and administrative organization. My goal is to (figuratively) drop you off at the right counter. Where possible, I monitor progress.

I find personal contact important and expanding my network crucial. Therefore, I try to be present as much as possible at membership meetings and meetings of the various entrepreneurial associations and platforms. Furthermore, I like to meet entrepreneurs in person and I am available for a personal meeting on location.

Furthermore, I am actively trying to encourage cooperation between entrepreneurs in Voorne aan Zee .

After several employments, I started as a freelance office manager in 2003, supporting entrepreneurs in different sectors and company sizes. After 12 years, I specialized in marketing and communications. During corona, the freelance assignments didn't materialize and I ended up - through a client - as a temporary employee at the former municipality of Westvoorne.

Six months after the merger into the municipality of Voorne aan Zee , I came into conversation with Marcel Roelfzema and after a short period as Brielle's center manager, I became his closest colleague in team Economy on December 1, 2023.

Making connections and engaging in personal conversation are important aspects of my work for me. In doing so, I find it inspiring to speak with entrepreneurs and work together to create a good and diverse entrepreneurial landscape. To this end, I participate in meetings and member meetings of the entrepreneurial associations. Labor market and education are of great interest to me, which is why I also regularly visit meetings of regional organizations, such as the Regiodeal Zuid-Hollandse Delta.
