Caravan parking on public roads

Do you want to leave your caravan, campervan, motorhome, storage trailer, trailer or folding trailer on public roads? This is only allowed for 3 days in a row.

Do you want to park longer? Then request an exemption from the municipality. You must make an appointment for this by phone via the general telephone number 14 0181.

What should I do?

You request the waiver from the municipality. Please provide the following information with your application:

Your name and address.
The period you want to park.
Showing the original registration certificate

Requirements

Motorhome longer than 6 m or higher than 2.4 m? These can park between 6 p.m. and 8 a.m. in designated parking spaces for large vehicles. You can no longer obtain an exemption for this.

In Hellevoetsluis, these are the parking lots at Schelpenpad, Gorslaan and Stationsplein.
In Brielle, this is possible in the parking lots of the Event Grounds on the Kaaisingel.
In Vierpolders, this is possible in the Praxis parking lot on Seggelant-west.
In Oostvoorne, this is possible in the Praxis parking lot on Langeweg.

For all other caravans / camper vans exemption can be granted for max. of 14 days per year.

Make an appointment

You can currently only apply for an exemption at the reception desk of the Hellevoetsluis Town Hall after making a telephone appointment via the general telephone number 14 0181.

Note! Currently, applying this way is still possible, but this will change after the summer of 2025.
