The Brielse Poort in the Hellevoetsluis fortifications will be closed on Wednesday afternoon, October 7, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The closure is marked with signs. We ask road users to take an alternate route.
The Brielse Poort is an operational floodgate. That is why we test the gate every year at the request of the water board. During this test, we check whether the gate functions properly in the event of a potential flood.
