Budget
The municipality receives about 250 million euros per year and has to pay a lot of this money. Every year in November, therefore, the municipality makes an overview of all the expenses and income we expect to have next year. We also make an overview of how we stand at that time. Preparations for the 2026 budget are in full swing. Starting in 2026, the municipality of Voorne aan Zee, like many other municipalities in the Netherlands, must make significant cuts. The municipality must find €8 million and that requires sharp choices. That is why the city council and the municipal executive committee have asked you to help think about how the municipality can make savings, cut costs and increase revenue. Between March 3 and 16, you could fill out a questionnaire and indicate what you think is important when there is less money for Voorne aan Zee. The results of this survey will be available soon.
