Budget
The municipality receives about 250 million euros per year and has to pay a lot of this money. Every year in November, therefore, the municipality makes an overview of all the expenses and income we expect to have next year. We also make an overview of how we stand at that time. From 2026 onwards, the municipality Voorne aan Zee, like many other municipalities in the Netherlands, will have to make significant cutbacks. The municipality had to find €7.3 million, which requires tough choices. That is why the municipal council and the mayor and aldermen asked you to contribute ideas on how the municipality can cut back, save costs, and increase its income. Between March 3 and 16, 2025, you had the opportunity to complete a questionnaire and indicate what you consider important if there is less money available for Voorne aan Zee. The results were taken into account when making choices for the 2026 Framework Memorandum and the 2026 Budget. The 2026 budget was unanimously adopted by the municipal council on November 6, 2025.
