Cemeteries
The cemeteries of the Municipality of Voorne aan Zee allow burial, urns with ashes to be interred, or ashes to be scattered. It is a quiet place of remembrance where the resting place of loved ones can be visited. Starting in 2025, a number of cemeteries will also allow burial in maintenance-free natural (urn) graves. In our cemeteries, anyone can be buried, regardless of religion or background.

Cemeteries in Brielle, Vierpolders and Zwartewaal
There are four cemeteries in Brielle and the surrounding area:
- general cemetery G.J. v.d. Boogerdweg 2, Brielle;
- general cemetery G.J. v.d. Boogerdweg 35, Brielle;
- Dijckpotingen general cemetery, Vierpolders;
- Wouddijk general cemetery, Zwartewaal;
- cemeteries are open to the public from sunrise to sunset.

Funeral directors or stonemasons wishing to schedule a funeral or pick up a memorial can call the cemeteries in Brielle, Zwartewaal and Vierpolders (including outside business hours) at 06 51 59 22 19 (in the event of an emergency, this number can also be reached outside business hours).
Cemeteries in Oudenhoorn and Hellevoetsluis
Oudenhoorn has a municipal cemetery on the Leuneweg. Hellevoetsluis has cemeteries on Rijksstraatweg, Smitsweg and Stoofweg.

Cemeteries in Oostvoorne and Rockanje
There are two cemeteries in Rockanje and one in Oostvoorne
- You will find the cemetery in Rockanje on the Dirk van Voornelaan;
- The cemetery 'Maria Rust' is located on the Zeeweg, close to the center of Rockanje. At this cemetery there is no active burial anymore. Only burials are still placed in existing graves;
- The cemetery in Oostvoorne is located on the Voorweg;
- both cemeteries have auditoriums, but without facilities;
- both cemeteries feature a World War II war memorial and War Graves Foundation graves;
- cemeteries are open to the public from sunrise to sunset.

Natural burial
The municipality of Voorne aan Zee offers natural graves at 4 of its 11 cemeteries. This is in Oostvoorne, Rockanje, Brielle and Hellevoetsluis. Nationwide, the demand for natural graves is increasing. It is a sustainable way of burial, there is no maintenance involved and it is a perpetual resting place. This type of grave is issued for 100 years and is paid for in 1 x. Relatives are thus relieved of maintenance and renewal questions and costs over time. There are, however, rules surrounding such a natural grave. For example, only a wooden disc may be placed on it. The guidelines for natural burial can be found on the Green Leave website.
