Area development Beaugaard (The Orchard)
The area along the Parnassialaan in Hellevoetsluis, northwest of the Rijksstraatweg is now an orchard and polder area. A residential area will be built here: Beaugaard (De Boomgaard). In the beginning, this area development was called De Boomgaard. Meanwhile, this new residential area to be built is known by the name Beaugaard. Beaugaard will be developed in phases. Plan in two phases
The Orchard area development will have a village atmosphere with plenty of room for greenery and nature. This development consists of two phases. We are now working on phase 1, which consists of 360 homes. We will then start phase 2. That phase will consist of approximately 700 homes. In addition, within this second phase we are investigating the possibilities for incorporating facilities such as a school and store(s). This will create a complete residential neighborhood.
Zoning
The City Council has adopted the zoning plan for phase 1 of De Boomgaard housing project in Hellevoetsluis. This zoning plan can be found at nl (search for plan name De Boomgaard).
Looking forward to phase 2
Parallel to the development of phase 1, research into the feasibility of phase 2 is taking place. Phase 2 is not part of the present trial allotment and zoning plan. At this time, phase 2 is still in the exploration phase, so it is not possible to share concrete information.
To make phase 2 possible, additional agreements will first have to be made with the developer GEM De Boomgaard. This will supplement the agreement made with the developer. A separate zoning plan procedure will be followed for phase 2. A schedule for this is not yet known.
