Co-swimming lessons

The swim along lessons take place about four times a year and are a regular part of the swimming lessons at Dukdalf swimming pool. During these lessons, children from the Seahorse, Penguin, Dolphin and Orca levels enter the deep pool under the guidance of the swim instructor with an adult chaperone. It is imperative that the chaperone actually swims with the child because the swim instructor does not have enough time to supervise each child individually. Without the participation of an adult chaperone, the child cannot participate in the deep pool.
Skills such as jumping from the shore, floating, being underwater, orientation, different swimming strokes and survival techniques are practiced.

All children swim with clothing during swim along lessons. Children who come to watch during this class and do not have a swimming certificate may not be around the pool without adult supervision.

Practice with clothing

One part of the swimming ABC is survival. This involves swimming with clothes on. From the Sea Horse level to C-diploma this becomes increasingly difficult.
