Housing company Voorne aan Zee develops homes in Brielle and Oostvoorne
Plans are being developed in two places in the municipality for rental properties that will be rented out and managed by the municipal Housing Company Voorne aan Zee . There is a need to develop homes that are intended for starters and seniors. There is also attention for tenants with a light care indication in collaboration with a care institution. In Brielle there are plans to convert the City Office into apartments. In Oostvoorne the plan area De Ruy is being developed.
“As a housing company within the municipality Voorne aan Zee we would like to build homes to meet the increasing demand for homes for young people and seniors. We are constantly investigating the possibilities and are happy to report that we see opportunities to realize homes in both Brielle and Oostvoorne," says Alderman Daan van Orselen enthusiastic. The city council was recently informed about the plans.
Apartments in Brielle city office
Due to the municipal merger, the Brielle City Office is no longer fully in use as an office. The municipality Voorne aan Zee would like to see the city office get a new purpose. The ultimate goal is to realize approximately 38 to 46 apartments in this building in 2026. The starting point is to preserve the city office as much as possible in its original form and existing materials. The expectation is that a plan will be presented to the board in the summer.
New construction in the centre of Oostvoorne
Since 2004, the former marshalling yard in the centre of Oostvoorne has been transformed into a residential area in three phases. Apartments, single-family homes and the Cultural Centre De Man have been built in the first sub-area. An apartment complex was built in the second part in 2017. The third part has not yet been realised. The expectation was that the location would not be developed in the short term, which is why the municipality has temporarily set up the vacant site as a village park. There is now a housing assignment and the De Ruy plan area is eligible for this. Plans are currently being developed for 24 homes. There is no concrete plan yet for what the homes will look like and how they will be located in the available area.
