Brielse Brug wind project

This project concerns the placement of two windmills in the Nieuwe Ondernemingspolder in Brielle. During the council meeting of 26 September this item was on the agenda for decision-making. There was a lot of public interest. 

Amendment 'A different wind'

An amendment "A different wind" was submitted. With this amendment, the decision was amended as follows: Not to adopt the memorandum of response to the comments and not to issue a statement of no objections for an environmental permit for the realization of the Windproject Brielse Brug. The submitters want the board to enter into discussions with the initiator for a different and better plan for the area. The board must also discuss with the province, among other things, the locations and the health aspects of the wind projects in Voorne aan Zee The amendment was adopted by a large majority of votes, as was the amended decision. 

Plan for Camper Park in Hellevoetsluis 

Despite the fact that this item was a hammer piece when the agenda was established, there were still two speakers who expressed their concerns about the flora and fauna at this location and one speaker who spoke about a procedural error. A number of political parties indicated that it is a good plan, but not at this location. The majority was in favor of the proposal to place the camper park at the Heliushaven in Hellevoetsluis. 

Municipality investigates future for Plas van Heenvliet 

The city council has decided to allocate €100,000 for a study into the future of the Plas van Heenvliet. The money will be used for various studies. An amendment to split up the available money did not make it.

Municipal Annual Accounts 2023 Voorne aan Zee

The municipal council has unanimously approved the 2023 annual accounts. Both the board and the municipal council ask for attention for the long process that preceded this. 

Notice of dismissal of Alderman Postma 

Monday September 23rd has Alderman Janneke Postma submitted her letter of resignation to the municipal council of Voorne aan Zee The mayor briefly reflected on this. 

Not treated:

The agenda item 'More padel courts at Tennis and Padel Club de Kooistee in Hellevoetsluis' is due to a procedural error in the assessment of the application and will return to one of the next council meetings.

The Westvoorne Parking Tax Regulation 2023 will be discussed at the request of the municipal council during the Budget Council in November.
