Council meeting in a nutshell - April 17, 2025

Statement of no objections for the realization of a camper park at Heliushaven in Hellevoetsluis

With 63 RV sites and various amenities, this plan is expected to be a positive boost for both business owners and tourism in the region. The opinions of residents were carefully listened to. Especially their concerns about the impact on nature.

Integral Management Framework Plus and management report civil engineering structures

The adopted plan provides sufficient funds to repair backlogs in maintenance of roads, greenery, bridges, overpasses and quays, for example. More money is needed to clear maintenance backlogs. The submitted amendment was withdrawn. However, the city council did emphasize the importance of maintaining outdoor spaces properly.

Omgevingsvisie Voorne aan Zee 2040

The municipal council has adopted the Omgevingsvisie Voorne aan Zee 2040. This vision outlines plans for the future of our living environment. It deals with important themes such as climate, energy, health, mobility and nature. The amendment "A vision looks ahead" was adopted. This amendment calls for adjustments. For example, the designation of specific locations for housing and a greater focus on housing issues.

Four motions were made on issues not on the agenda.

Motion To optimize flow in new construction

The motion was submitted to improve the flow in the housing market in Voorne aan Zee . The parties who submitted the motion propose that 100% of new socially built rental housing should go to residents of Voorne Voorne aan Zee . And that there should be continuous talks to sell new owner-occupied homes primarily to local residents. The motion passed.

Motion Foster Care

The unanimously adopted motion calls for a study of how the municipality can provide foster children with a safe and stable living environment within the municipality. In addition, the city council requests that proper arrangements be made with relevant agencies. And to regularly inform the city council of progress.

Motion Kiss & Ride

The motion asks the college to create a Kiss & Ride facility at the main entrance to City Hall, including a bench for people who need to wait. The parties who made the motion stress that they think it is important that the entrance be accessible. Especially for people who have difficulty walking. The motion passed.

The motion on the wind task for Voorne aan Zee was held.

Amendment of council rules of procedure and council committee ordinance

The City Council decided that the issue was not ripe for consideration at this time and was removed from the agenda.
