Extra council meeting on Thursday 28 November

During the council meeting of 7 November, a motion was submitted about the permit for a compound on the Willemansweg in Oostvoorne. This motion was postponed and will be discussed during an extra council meeting on Thursday 28 November at 21:00.

No Defense training ground in Voornes Duin

The submitted motion “No to Defense in Voornes Duin” has been withdrawn following the decision by Defense not to make Voornes Duin an amphibious training area for the time being. The final decision on this will be made in the spring of 2025. 
 

Harmonization of the municipal anti-discrimination provision regulation Voorne aan Zee

The municipal council established the new, harmonized regulation that replaces the old regulations of the former municipalities of Brielle, Hellevoetsluis and Westvoorne. The new regulation ensures that residents have access to an independent organization that offers assistance with discrimination complaints. Residents can report discrimination to this organization, anonymously if desired.
 

Adoption of the Municipal Youth Care Regulation Voorne aan Zee 2025

The municipal council proposed the new Youth Care Regulation 2025 for the municipality Voorne aan Zee fixed. This replaced the old regulations of Hellevoetsluis, Westvoorne and Brielle. The new regulation contains adjustments to better align with current practice and recent case law. Important changes include the clarification of Requirements for youth care, adjustments to the rates for personal budgets (PGB), and measures to prevent abuse.
 

Amendment to the Municipal Youth Care Regulation Voorne aan Zee 2025


In deviation from the proposal of the board, it was proposed not to tighten the criteria for obtaining a personal budget. The client's own judgment should be taken as the starting point, in other words, residents should be able to choose for themselves whether to receive compensation in kind or money. A proposal was submitted to make it easier to obtain a personal budget (pgb). The municipality must have a neutral position in this. The amendment did not receive the majority of votes and was rejected.
 

Voorne aan Zee waste levy ordinance 2025

The municipal council adopted the new Waste Tax Regulation Voorne aan Zee 2025 fixed. This regulation introduces a fixed rate of €330 per year, per household. This means that most households will pay a little more, but the rate will be the same for all residents of Voorne aan Zee directly.

The three amendments relating to the implementation of this Regulation did not obtain a majority of votes and were rejected. 
 

Motion strange An empty asylum

A number of factions asked the board with this motion to investigate whether Voorne aan Zee could participate in a free chip campaign where residents can have their non-chipped cats chipped for free. The motion was adopted. 
 

Strange motion on GP shortage

With this motion, a number of factions drew attention to the major shortage of general practitioners and dentists in Voorne aan Zee . The construction of new residential areas further increases the pressure on healthcare. The factions propose to the board to enter into discussions with general practitioners, dentists and health insurers and to see how we can provide sufficient care now and in the future. Health can offer. The motion was passed unanimously.

  • 1st Budget Amendment 2024 and Budget 2025 SVHW.
  • Ratification of the Seggelant Vierpolders Business Investment Zone Regulation 2022-2026.
  • Adoption of the Advertising Tax Regulation 2025 (Brielle city centre).
  • Municipal tax waiver regulation Voorne aan Zee .
  • Adoption of the Social Support Regulation 2025.
  • Municipal Participation Regulation Voorne aan Zee 2024.
  • Exemption from residence requirement Alderman Ball.
