Council meeting in a nutshell - March 13, 2025

On Thursday, March 13, the Voorne aan Zee Zee City Council met and made several decisions. There were many interruptions (adjournments) as motions were presented that required deliberation. Below is a brief summary of the main points discussed.

Youth Care Framework Memorandum 2026

The city council gave its opinion on plans for youth care in 2026 and how they will be paid for. The council approved the draft view of the Youth Care Framework Memorandum. Following this, the motion Heppie (T)huis was tabled. This motion was held. 

Integral Security Policy 2025-2028

The City Council adopted this policy to improve security in the municipality with a focus on residential nuisance, juvenile crime, traffic safety and digital crime.

As part of the safety policy, the motion Seniors Safety was passed unanimously. This motion will be implemented through a booklet with information on safety, Health and mobility. This booklet will be sent by name to the target group of seniors and offered in public places, such as City Hall and the library. 

Motions

Seven motions were filed on issues not on the agenda.

The motion for vaping awareness campaign among children was not voted on. 

The motions Legal measures against unlawful cuts in the municipal fund, Medical advice on disabled parking card and Austere reception and integration of asylum seekers and status holders were held.

The motion Speaking out against local fireworks ban was withdrawn.

The motions Pilot Social in the Neighborhood and Repeat Medical Advice were not adopted.

In addition, the following decisions were made:

  • Resignation at own request of committee members R.R. van Zundert (CDA) and M. Kromhout (IBV).
  • Resignation at his own request of Mr. J.J. 't Mannetje (IBV) and appointment of Mr. E. Noordzij (IBV) as chairman of the AZM Committee.
  • Starting memorandum on governance and related parties.
  • Autumn report 2024 Voorne-Putten Recreation Authority.
  • 2nd Amendment Financial Regulation Voorne aan Zee. 
  • Start note Orientation positioning Recreation Board.
  • Split environmental plan Buitengebied Westvoorne Sweeping Plan 4.
