New homes to be built

The housing market study reveals a need for housing for starters, families and seniors. For this project, the choice was made to realize housing for these 3 target groups at this location. There will be 8 ground floor apartments, suitable for seniors with one bedroom. Above that there will be 8 upstairs apartments for starters with 2 bedrooms. The downstairs and upstairs apartments will be at the head of two blocks. The 26 family homes will have 3 bedrooms and an attic. The newly built homes will be very energy efficient, as so-called zero-in-the-meter homes. This means that the energy for the installations but also the energy for personal use is generated by the solar panels. The homes will be divided into four residential blocks. Parking is provided in front of the homes.

Viewing moment tenants

On Wednesday afternoon, July 3, future tenants came to take a look at their homes under construction in the new construction project.
Completion is fast approaching. All homes have now been assigned to the tenants via Woonnet Rijnmond. They are expected to be able to move into their new homes by mid-October.

Wednesday afternoon all tenants were invited to the construction site. While enjoying a snack and a drink, they got to know each other. They were also allowed to take a look inside their homes. One of the new tenants says: "I have lived in the municipality for 14 years and now live in a house on the outskirts of Oostvoorne. In a few months I can move to a nice new single-family corner house. It is also a nice location for my two children. I am really looking forward to it. I walk past it often now and it's going to be very nice." With the kitchen supplier, tenants can choose the color of the kitchen cabinet doors, handles, countertops and tile pattern. They are invited to the showroom for this purpose. The future tenants are very pleased with options and choices offered by Woonbedrijf Voorne aan Zee to personalize the home.

Alderman Daan van Orselen also came to take a look Wednesday afternoon: "We are proud that all these people will soon be able to enjoy their new energy-efficient homes in Voorne aan Zee. For Woonbedrijf, these homes are a great addition to the housing stock. Building and retaining rental housing within our own municipality is important for being able to continue to provide good and affordable housing for our residents."

Rental properties

We are happy to report that all 42 homes have been assigned. The Woonbedrijf, Bouwbedrijf Schrijver and Bruynzeel kitchens are working on the final details of the kitchens and bathrooms. At the end of May, Woonbedrijf will further inform the tenants about this. A viewing opportunity will also be organized before the summer vacations so that each tenant can view their new home. Planning

Schedule (depending on weather conditions):

  • 2nd quarter: install roofs and facades and install interior walls, floor finishing, installation work
  • 3rd quarter: finishing installations, installing kitchens, bathrooms and plastering
  • expected completion end 3rd quarter 2024

Cooperation Province of South Holland

For the realization of the project, a cooperation has been established with the Province of South Holland. The project contributes to the policy of the Province of South Holland in the field of ''Sufficient the right houses in the right place - Strong cities and villages in South Holland''. The Municipality of Voorne aan Zee has received a grant from the Province to support the implementation of this ambition on Patrijzenlaan.
