Signatures set for construction of 42 social rental homes in Oostvoorne

With the signing of a construction contract on Monday 9 October, an important step was taken towards the construction of 42 contemporary social rental homes on Patrijzenlaan in Oostvoorne. Alderman Daan van Orselen from Housing Company Voorne aan Zee and Landre Schrijver, director of Bouwbedrijf Schrijver, signed for the 42 new homes that will replace 26 previously demolished homes on this site. Together they unveiled the construction sign. Daan van Orselen: “We are proud that as Housing Company of the municipality Voorne aan Zee these 42 social housing units can be built. And also completely energy efficient.”

Start of rental of new-build homes on Patrijzenlaan

Construction recently started on 42 contemporary social rental homes on Patrijzenlaan in Oostvoorne. The homes are expected to be ready in the autumn of 2024. Because these are social rental homes, the homes are offered via Woonnet Rijnmond. The homes will be published on the Woonnet Rijnmond website at the end of November/beginning of December 2023. This project has chosen to build homes for starters, families and seniors. There will be eight ground-floor homes with one bedroom, suitable for seniors. Above that, there will be eight homes with two bedrooms, for starters. The ground-floor and top-floor homes will be at the head of two blocks with a total of 26 single-family homes. These homes have three bedrooms and an attic. The new homes will be very energy-efficient, as so-called 'zero-on-the-meter homes'. This means that the energy for the installations as well as the energy for personal use will be generated by the solar panels. The homes will be divided over four residential blocks. Parking spaces will be provided in front of the homes. The expectation is that the homes will be ready in the autumn of 2024. Landre Schrijver of Bouwbedrijf Schrijver:

Affordable housing also in the future

Housing company Voorne aan Zee is part of the municipality Voorne aan Zee . The Woonbedrijf will continue to work for good and affordable housing in the coming years.
