Completion of rental housing on Partridge Avenue
On Thursday, December 19, the completion of 42 contemporary social housing units on Patrijzenlaan was celebrated in Oostvoorne. The homes were developed and will be rented by Woonbedrijf Voorne aan Zee. Alderman Daan van Orselen and Landré Schrijver, director of Bouwbedrijf Schrijver addressed the new tenants, the construction team and local residents, while enjoying a snack and a drink. The street signs with house numbers were also unveiled.
Daan van Orselen: "It's nice to meet the tenants. With them, we are proud of these energy-efficient homes in Oostvoorne. With the Woonbedrijf we are committed to realizing even more social housing in the municipality of Voorne aan Zee."
The tenants received the keys last two weeks. The 42 homes have been rented through Woonnet Rijnmond. The project consists of eight downstairs one-bedroom homes suitable for seniors; upstairs eight two-bedroom homes for first-time buyers. The downstairs and upstairs homes are at the head of two blocks with a total of 26 single-family homes. These homes have three bedrooms and an attic floor. The new homes are designed as so-called "zero-to-the-meter homes. This means that the energy for the systems, as well as the energy for personal use, is generated by solar panels.
The Woonbedrijf received a subsidy for this project from the Province of South Holland under the subsidy scheme for the distribution of social housing in the Rotterdam region.
