For quite some time now I have been associated with the municipality of Voorne aan Zee as a babs.

So it is with great pleasure that I have performed many weddings at the various venues.

Having a wedding is not work for me, but being allowed to participate in it for two people and their families to make it a great day.

I myself have now been married for 37 years, so I have had some experience about the ins and outs of marriage.

By reading a lot and searching on the Internet, I try to tailor my speeches as much as possible to the bride and groom. In a preliminary conversation, I try to assess as much as possible what a bride and groom want and expect. It should have a personal touch for each bride and groom and not a story you can use for everyone.

As a former city council member, I did learn over the years how to act in unexpected situations. I must say that this experience also comes in handy occasionally at wedding ceremonies.

I have a number of hobbies, such as tinkering in the garden, walking the dog, reading and very old-fashioned crafts, but the most enjoyable and fulfilling activity is getting to marry people.
