Signatures signed for construction of 24 new life-proof social housing units in Oostvoorne
With the signing of a construction agreement, an important step was taken Tuesday, June 10, for the construction of 12 social rental and 12 middle rental homes on De Ruy in Oostvoorne.

Alderman Daan van Orselen of Woonbedrijf Voorne aan Zee and Landré Schrijver, director of Bouwgroep Schrijver signed for the 24 life-proof apartments. Whereby the current park, green strip and existing footpaths located between apartment complex the Brielsche Hoeck and the apartment complex on the Elisabethhof will be preserved as much as possible.

The Ruy
Construction preparations have begun. In this project, the choice was made to build housing for seniors. There will be one residential block with four floors. All homes will have two bedrooms. The homes will be rented and managed by the Woonbedrijf. The method of registration will be widely communicated at a later date.
The new homes will be very energy efficient, as so-called "zero-to-the-meter homes. This means that the solar panels will generate all the energy for the facilities as well as (part of) the energy for personal use. The parking lots and about half of the park will remain as they are now. The homes are expected to be completed in early 2027.
Affordable housing also in the future
Housing company Voorne aan Zee is part of the municipality Voorne aan Zee . The Woonbedrijf will continue to work for good and affordable housing in the coming years. The established Course Plan describes the plans and ambitions in the areas of availability, sustainability and housing quality, social and physical liveability, service provision and participation and the internal task.
