Successful first participation in the Summerfair
For the first time this year we were at the Summerfair as a congregation with our own stall and it was a great success.
Our brightly colored booth attracted many visitors and led to great conversations with residents and visitors. Alderman Els Priester was also present and engaged in conversation with several residents.
In total, we handed out about 850 information bags filled with tips, leaflets and useful tools. This way, residents can also use the information after the Summerfair.
The youngest visitors were also thought of: nearly 80 children had their faces painted. The happy faces and colorful creations created a festive atmosphere around our stall.
Our booth was a place where everyone was welcome. Residents could ask all kinds of questions: from energy savings to schemes for people with lower incomes. The energy coaches gave advice and held a quiz, where some answers led to surprises. The hourglasses for taking shorter showers were popular. This is another small but effective step toward energy-conscious living.

The day proceeded in a fine, relaxed atmosphere. This was partly due to the good organization of the Summerfair and the efforts of many volunteers and colleagues. Municipality of Voorne aan Zee thanks everyone who helped make this possible.
