City council gives guest lectures at STC in Brielle

Last week, the City Council, in cooperation with the Municipal Clerk’s Office , provided guest lectures to first graders at STC in Brielle. The vocational school that prepares young people for a career in the process industry or maintenance.
At the invitation of the Citizenship teacher, a number of council members, together with the clerk, spent a day at STC. Over 80 students, ages 15 to 18, were given more information about the city council and the work of city council members.
Of course, there was also attention to the national elections on November 22, the students were asked what characteristics as youth they think are important for our permanent mayor and had their opinions heard on propositions about affordable housing for youth in Voorne aan Zee and what they need to have fun and be safe going out in Voorne aan Zee. To conclude, their knowledge was tested through a series of questions, resulting in winners taking home a nice Voorne aan Zee.
