Erik van Heijningen begins work as an informateur in Voorne aan Zee
On Friday, March 20, the party leaders of the eleven parties that won at least one seat in the municipal elections in Voorne aan Zee . They discussed the election results and the next steps.
In the interest of an open and transparent process, it has been agreed to appoint Erik van Heijningen as the informateur. Erik van Heijningen brings extensive administrative experience from various acting mayoral positions and other roles within public administration. The informateur will meet with the party leaders as soon as possible to explore the possibilities for a stable administration. He will report on this to the city council in mid-April.
Erik van Heijningen:Voorne aan Zee familiar territory to me. I used to come here on weekends and during vacations as a child. I still enjoy visiting. It is an honor and a pleasure to serve as the informateur for this beautiful municipality.”
VVD party leader Aart Jan Spoon: “With Erik van Heijningen as the informateur, we have someone from outside the local government with extensive administrative experience, as well as knowledge of the region. We consider that to be very important. We are therefore very pleased that Erik van Heijningen is willing to take on this role and will explore which form of cooperation offers the best prospects for a stable administration.”
