Final results of the municipal elections
On Thursday, March 26, Mayor Arno Scheepers Voorne aan Zee the official results of the municipal elections in Voorne aan Zee . This took place during a public session of the central election committee. Voter turnout was 50.6%, nearly 12% higher than in the redistricting elections at the end of 2022.

March 31: Farewell to the City Council
On Tuesday, March 31, starting at 8:00 p.m., we will bid farewell to the current city council in the council chamber of City Hall.
April 1: Inauguration of the new city council
On Wednesday evening, April 1 (8:30 p.m.), the new municipal council of Voorne aan Zee will be Voorne aan Zee at St. Catherine’s Church in Brielle. This ceremony takes place on the same historic day as the capture of Den Briel in 1572, a significant moment in our history that symbolizes freedom and self-governance. Every year on April 1, this liberation is commemorated in Brielle with an open-air play. This year, the evening also marks the swearing-in of the new municipal council. In this way, we connect our history with the start of a new term of office. Mayor Scheepers will preside over the installation ceremony in historical costume.
