King's commissioner to visit Voorne aan Zee
Commissioner of the King, Wouter Kolff, paid an official visit to the municipality of Voorne aan Zee on Nov. 20.

During this visit, the Commissioner spoke with entrepreneurs, residents, volunteers, representatives of social and cultural organizations, the political party chairmen and the College of B&W. The visit was a great opportunity to share the developments and challenges in our municipality. At the same time, the commissioner actively listened to the signals from our society.
Mayor Arno Scheepers: 'Voorne aan Zee is very pleased with the visit of the King's Commissioner. We were able to give an insight into the dynamics and energy of the youngest municipality in the Netherlands. With passionate entrepreneurs, involved residents and creative event organizers, we have a lot to offer. I am proud that we were able to share this with our commissioner. The official visit also underscores the province's commitment to our local challenges and opportunities and helps us realize our ambitions.
Commissioner of the King Wouter Kolff in the province of South Holland: 'It was good and interesting to hear how Voorne aan Zee is developing as a relatively new and somewhat larger municipality. The talks showed me that the increase in scale offers opportunities to be stronger in the region and to deepen cooperation within the Zuid-Hollandse Delta. There are also opportunities to further improve services. These insights are important for the future of the province and are going to help us increase the strength of the South Holland islands.
